----- GUARD THE BORDER ACT OF 2024 ----
CONSTRUCTION OF THE WALL
Immediately upon the passing of this bill, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall re-delegate
the funds previously appropriated or obligated for the reconstruction of the wall along the
southern border beginning on October 1, 2019 for resuming that task.
DEPORTATION
Immediately upon the passing of this bill, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall suspend all
actions commonly referred to as “catch-and-release.”
Peoples caught illegally crossing the border of the United States shall be
detained until they can be deported in a timely manner, not to exceed 30 days.
EFFECTIVE AGENTS
There is authorized to be appropriated $------- for the following:
a. X% increase of border agents
b. X% increase of pay for border agents who have served one year or more.
c. Delegated funds for the advancement of surveillance technology.
